What is Geotargeting?


This marketing term is still gaining popularity for common use, so I couldn't even find it listed at Dictionary.com, to use for this page!

Geotargeting just refers to selective marketing, focused towards specific geographical areas. For online marketing campaigns, like pay-per-click marketing, the geographical locations of online searchers (usually determined by their I.P. addresses) is one of criteria used.

Geotarget marketing is an important step forward, for local businesses, wanting to market their products and services through the internet.
