Integrating Google Adsense
for SBI! Users

Adsense Code Placement

Review SiteSell's information about the Adsense program, as there are some minor adjustments required to integrate the adsense code into your SBI! site. Go to the Get The Most Out Of AdSense page for these instructions.

Add the Adsense code, preview, analyze and then build your pages. Then you're all set! Within a short time you should see targeted Google Adwords shown on your site.

If you don't see relevant ads. on your site within a short time, and just get Public Service Announcements(PSA's) instead, please follow the steps below for troubleshooting.

Adsense Troubleshooting

The adwords shown on your site should be very similar to the content you provide on your page. If they're not, then it's a possible indicator that your page is not as tightly focused as it should be. So re-check your page content, and make any changes to ensure your message is as concise as possible.

Another possibility is that the adsense code just needs to be re-positioned on your page for better keyword and content targeting.

Google's Public Service Announcements

Sometimes you will see Public Service Annoucements (PSA's) on your page, instead of Adwords ads. These are two possible reasons for it:

  1. You have a new Adsense account and Google hasn't yet spidered your page's content. Check again after a few hours.
  2. Google doesn't have any appropriate ads to show on your page - i.e. advertisers are not paying for ads. for your keyword phrases.

Google doesn't pay Adsense users for PSA's. So if this is a recurring problem, here are a few ways to find out the cause:

Check directly on Google

Go to Google.com to check this.(Enter your page's primary keyword, in quotes, in the search box, to ensure you are getting tightly focused results.)

Use Search It! to Check on Google

Search It!, an excellent webmaster's research and resource tool

Click here to use Search It! (it opens as a pop-up window, so please disable any pop-up blockers before trying this service).

Follow the steps below:

  • STEP 1: Select Search Category Choose "Monetization"
  • STEP 2: Select Search Type Choose "Preview Google Adwords"
  • STEP 3: Enter 1st Search Term. Enter your page's primary keyword or phrase in the box.
  • Step 4 is not required. Just ignore.
  • Click on "Enter".

Your results will open up in a new window, and will show up to 4 adwords ads. on the page, or Public Service Announcements.

If you only see PSA's then don't be discouraged. There are other Adsense alternatives to consider.
